Controlling three characters simultaneously with varying abilities allows players to solve puzzles and navigate platforming stages. Using the unique skills of Sparky and X-5 helps the player reach level exits, where only one character must successfully arrive to complete the stage. This gameplay loop spans five playable characters across different environments, including rocket ship travel through the galaxy.
