Gradius III는 1989년에 Konami가 아케이드용으로 개발하고 출시한 스크롤링 슈팅 비디오 게임입니다. 원래 1989년 12월 11일 일본에서만 출시되었습니다. Gradius 시리즈의 세 번째 게임입니다. 이 게임은 1990년 일본에서 슈퍼 닌텐도 엔터테인먼트 시스템(Super Nintendo Entertainment System)으로, 1991년에는 북미로 이식되었으며 북미에서는 시스템의 출시 타이틀로 사용되었습니다. 아케이드 버전은 Gradius IV와 함께 PlayStation 2용 2-in-1 편집본과 PlayStation Portable용 Gradius 컬렉션에 포함될 때까지 서양에서 빛을 보지 못했습니다.
